Itinerary map

Day 1 – Departing from your local airport on an early flight to Phoenix, Arizona.  The afternoon will find us soaking up the red rock country sights of Sedona, Arizona.  We will camp that night at Kaibab National Forest outside of Sedona.

Day 2 – We’ll drive by the Flintstones in Bed Rock City on our way to the Grand Canyon. There we’ll check out the miraculous beauty and catch one of the world’s most amazing sunsets, camping that night at Grand Canyon National Park.

Day 3 – We’ll begin the day early catching a sight you’ll never forget- a sunrise over the Grand Canyon! We won’t stop there, as we head down into the Canyon for a morning hike. After a great meal and another amazing sunset, you’ll rest well this night.

Day 4 – We are up early today to head across Native American country through the Echo Cliffs to Lake Powell, touring Antelope Canyon- an amazing slot canyon. We’ll spend the night on the Lake Powell shores in Glenn Canyon National Recreation Area.

Day 5 – After a morning on Lake Powell, we will head up through the Vermillion Cliffs for an unbelievable scenic ride through Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. We’ll camp that night in the park in our very own cabin.

Day 6 – Out our back door and up the canyon for a morning hike to view and wonder at petroglyphs and pictographs. After lunch, we’ll sled on the Coral Pink Sand Dunes on the way to Bryce Canyon National Park.

Day 7 – We’ll begin our day with sunrise over the rim of beautiful Bryce Canyon, followed by a day of hiking and reflecting. That afternoon we are southwest to Zion Canyon National Park, camping there that night.

Day 8 – Our day in Zion we will hike and soak in the wonder of the canyon heights, spires, and walls of this blessed, holy sanctuary.

Day 9 – Up early to cross Utah, Nevada, and into California for a Qwest West first – Death Valley National Park!  Don’t worry, it cools down at night for sleeping and stargazing.

Day 10 – Prepare for the wonder and beauty of Yosemite National Park, a new mainstay of your Top Ten List, with its tall trees and mountains, beautiful valleys and refreshing rivers. We’ll gather around a warm campfire on this chilly evening in Yosemite Valley.

Day 11 – On this day of sabbath rest we’ll have plenty of time for re-creation, hiking up Yosemite Falls and sunbathing on the rocks of Merced River. We’ll gather one last time around the campfire before bedding down again that night in Yosemite.

Day 12 – North and Northeast through the beauty of Tuolumne Meadows in the Yosemite high country today we are bound for Lake Tahoe. “Camping” tonight in lakeshore cabins.

Day 13 – Lake Day Qwest West style – biking, hiking, kayaking, polar plunging, swimming, and worshiping. Tonight, there’s our Journey’s End Banquet and one last sunset together. Another epic day!

Day 14 – The Qwest West comes full circle today heading home. We have accomplished the Qwest West and attained our own personal summits – in faith, spirituality, and self-awareness – returning home eager to tell friends and family about the journey and life on top of the mountains!
