The application itself, consists of:
(1) A registration form (emailed to you by request sent to Kyle Baker (intern@shandonpres.org)
(2) A one page paper written by the applicant on your call to join us on this spiritual journey
(3) A statement of endorsement from the applicant's Campus Minister/Director, Pastor, or College Chaplain

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and notification of acceptance will be emailed within 10 days. The staff completes participant selection.  A staff panel reviews the applicant’s file and bases their selection on the applicant’s potential to get the most out of the experience. Factors include, but are not limited to: faith commitment, community involvement, family responsibility, individual self-expression, leadership ability, and an intellectual desire to get to know one another, America, oneself, and God. 

Dates and Cost
The dates for the Qwest West in 2010 are May 12 – 25.  Cost of the Qwest West is $1,000 for students accepted by February 8. After February 8 trip cost may be higher due to air fare. The cost includes transportation, camping and entrance fees, coffee mug, t-shirt, and all food with the exception of ten meals.  A deposit of $200 is due within seven days of acceptance.  The balance for the trip is due April 12, 2010.

Limited need-based financial aid and payment plans are available. Please do not let money get in the way of your Qwest West!
